Elite Balance Bulls
Our sole and exclusive purpose is the production of Elite Balance Bulls—bulls that calve easily, grow rapidly and efficiently in a moderate frame, and produce outstanding carcass traits and profitable, efficient cows. We believe that through a relentless application of our resources to an uncompromising standard, we can produce bulls that do it all—particularly when we use the wonders of hybrid vigor to enhance our efforts. When you purchase an Iron Creek SimAngus, Angus, or Simmental bull, you will be able to profitably retain your calves in the feedlot, sell feeder cattle, or retain your females, all with equal confidence.

We consider all aspects because a focus on a single or a few traits may lead to unintended consequences. For example, we feel many purebred Angus today are the result of a single-minded focus on growth traits without consideration to calving ease or overall efficiency of the resulting offspring. The calves will grow, but the resulting females are too large for many environments and require high cost inputs to maintain body condition and breed back. We will not compromise on calving ease or efficiency and believe each can be obtained while maintaining outstanding growth and carcass traits. We have also deliberately selected for docility. Life is simply too short, and facilities too expensive, to risk injury, damage, or increased work time to handle cattle with less than ideal dispositions.
