Hook's Crystal 1C 3/4 Simmental
ASA No. 3013438 Hooks' Crystal is arguably one of the top 3 influential females in the Simmental breed. Crystal is the dam of the $44,000.00 Hook's Eagle, one of the most popular and heavily used bulls in the Simmental breed in the last few years. Her first four calves averaged over $25,000 for Hook's and when we had the opportunity to acquire her with our partner, Kevin Stephens of Stephens Farms, Alabama, we couldn't pass it up. Crystal has bred on the first heat with one straw of semen every breeding season of her life. At six years of age Crystal has proven EPDs in the top 2% of the breed for weaning weight, yearling weight and average daily gain, top 10% for maternal weaning weight, top 1% for docility, top 10% for marbling, top 20% for ribeye area, top 10% for shear (tenderness), top 10% All Purpose Index and top 2% Terminal Index. ASA No. 3499782 As of July 27, 2020, Matron is the No. 1 API purebred female in the entire American Simmental Association database with an API of 197.
